Although Renault and Nissan maintain a strong union, the amount of parts between the two marks is generally quite thin. The two automakers have not made a habit of rebadging other products, although it is certain to support rebadging the Renault Clio and Megane with the new Versa or Sentra, especially as the Renaultsport rebadged versions as Nismo models. This is unlikely to change with the new Renault Talisman
2016 Renault Talisman – The big four-door sedan to drive the newest car Renault-Nissan Common Module family, which also underpins the current Espace MPV. Although the diamond logo Renault may bear lead platform Espace, the new Talisman sedan takes almost exactly the same amount of space on the road as a new Nissan Maxima. There is less than two inches between the total length of the two bogies and wheelbase, while the differences in width and height is negligible. The similarities end with the form, however.
2016 Renault Talisman Engine
While Maxima is only offered with a 3.5-liter V6 and continuously variable transmission, the Talisman will be available with a range of 4-cylinder engines. There’ll be three diesel engines, available in 110 hp, 130 hp and 160-hp versions, along with a couple of natural gas engines, providing 150 and 200 hp respectively. The diesels can be connected only with a six-speed (manuals are available for 110 and 130 models hp), while the mills of gasoline is limited to seven-speed dual-clutch units. The Renault is also four wheel in the form of 4Control company system, and active dampers.
